Parallel Processing

Perhaps the biggest performance-related feature is support for parallel import and export operations. Datapump can spawn many worker processes to read and write data. This overcomes a major limitation in the original utility which created a single-threaded bottleneck.
Note that parallel processing is support with both access methods: direct path and external tables.
Next, we will look at a simple example requesting parallel processing.
