Common Oracle SQL Tuning Errors
We see some SQL performance (coding) problems in the Oracle Database over and over again: certain SQL constructs that are known to be inefficient in some circumstances. If you understand your data and queries, you may be able remove these inappropriate usages and improve response times hugely. This free tutorial will identify some of the common issues, demonstrating techniques to determine whether the issue has occurred and if so what to do about it.
Audience: Oracle DBAs or Developers faced with underperforming SQL.
In addition to Oracle SQL, some experience with reading execution plans is essential. For review and/or practice reading execution plans, see How to Read an Execution Plan.
