Oracle Certified Master DBA John Watson demonstrates configuring SQL Net, or Oracle Net if you prefer, to run over TCPS. This can be a bit of a nightmare to get going, but the method I’ll show you is simple and it works.
Nowadays, virtually all sites require encryption of data in transit. John’s preference for this is always to use SQL*Net native encryption. Why? Because it’s very easy to set up, it’s usually adequate and requires no client side configuration at all.
