Refreshable PDB Clones in Oracle Database – A Free Webinar

September 29, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 9:30 am EDT

The Poor Man’s Data Guard

Learn, via live demonstration, how to use Refreshable PDB Clones to provide DataGuard-like capabilities, even on Oracle Standard Edition!

We all know that Multitenant Architecture is inevitable. We also know that some sites have resisted converting to it. Well, OK: it can be viewed as a needless complication. However, once you start using it, you will think “why didn’t I do this years ago”. One reason for this is how easily you can clone and relocate PDBs.

The Refreshable Clone capability takes PDB cloning to another level. It gives you Data Guard type capabilities for preventing data loss and for zero downtime platform migrations, even for SE2 systems. This webinar will describe the usage case, and demonstrate how to do it.
